Dale Alan Bryant: Greetings, science enthusiasts! I'm Dale Alan Bryant, a writer of General Science essays for the General Reader; mainly, astronomy, evolution, human origins - and a bunch of other stuff! My first published essay appeared on the homepage of the American Association of Variable Star Observers, in 2012. The title is, "Exoplanets and the Search for Extraterrestrial Life", under the Variable Stars sub-heading: The Stories Variables Tell. I recently finished a course at the University of Edinburgh on Astrobiology, taught by Dr. Charles Cockell. Very similar to Exobiology, Astrobiology is the field of astronomy which deals with prospects for life outside our Earth, but, takes into account, Earth-based life, as it's starting point.
